Friend in Deed is a registered charity that helps create friendship across generations by organising intergenerational projects that aim to enrich the lives of others with the primary aim of promoting kindness.
Our aim is to focus on improving the mental and physical health of older people, including those living with dementia, who can so often feel forgotten and alienated from their communities.
We run activities and events for children of all ages to help break down the barriers between generations, reduce loneliness and produce a change in the perception of age that will create lasting change in years to come.
We aim to work with care homes and schools to bring them together and make them feel part of the wider community around them.
Friend In Deed is working to create a more caring, sustainable and inclusive society and we would like to invite you to be part of this exciting venture. In addition to supporting our local community Friend Indeed also cares about the environment. We try to reduce our carbon footprint by not using disposable items and trying to pair our little visitors and their parent up with care homes near enough for them to walk rather than take the car.
