What is Friend In Deed

Hi, my name is Kelly and I am the founder of Friend In Deed. We are a social enterprise that organises intergenerational projects that aim to enrich the lives of others with the primary aim of promoting kindness. We have lots of ‘Little Visitors’ who, accompanied by a parent/carer, spend time with people in care homes, sheltered accommodation and we are hoping to expand this scheme into the community so that we can reach people in their own homes. We work with school children and elderly people, in an attempt to integrate these two generations, strengthen communities and improve wellbeing.

Friend In Deed is working to create a more caring, sustainable and inclusive society and we would like to invite you to be part of this exciting venture. In terms of the investment your business can make, Friend In Deed is a truly rewarding enterprise because it focuses on long term partnerships and innovative ideas that will have a positive impact on both society and your own brand – promoting your organisation as one that takes it social responsbility seriously.

Let’s unite through kindness and treat strangers as if they are friends. Friend In Deed is an enterprise that encourages and facilitates kindness within the community.

We will share information about the voluntary work we do to raise awareness of the benefits this has on both those receiving our help and our volunteers. We can also offer advice on how you can become a Friend In Deed volunteer and the ways in which we can identify a project that suits you.

Friend In Deed needs a bank of volunteers and businesses to help with projects that enhance the community we live in. We will be working with two of societies most vulnerable members, the young and the elderly. Our primary aim is to always show kindness and help develop and encourage this.

Local businesses in Norwich will be invited to work with Friend In Deed to give something back and help others. The assistance they offer, whether that is in the form of resources, skills, services or funds will be matched to needs within the community.

Anything is possible, and we believe that we can live in a kinder, more inclusive and sustainable society. Help Friend In Deed help the community we live in, contact us via hello@friendindeed.org.uk
