Corporate partners choose to support Friend in Deed because of the incredible impact that our work has on all ages of the community. We need kinder and more cohesive communities, now more than ever, and by bringing younger and older people together, special friendships form whilst kindness and connection flourish. We need to ensure that older people are remembered and still have purpose. By creating social opportunities with the younger generation, older people and those living with dementia have an opportunity to thrive. As an intergenerational charity, we are very inclusive, and the social impact of our work is very high. We would love to hear from more businesses that want to help reduce loneliness, promote kindness and provide support for all ages in the community.

Our Founder and Managing Director, Kelly, left her career as a teacher to set up the charity in 2018. The driving force was witnessing her grandmother, who lived with dementia, live in a care home where a lack of social interaction was apparent. We need our care homes and older people to remain connected to the broader community, and in doing so, older people will live their final years with more purpose and happiness.
