We believe in the benefits of intergenerational friendships

Our work with schools is integral to our vision of kinder communities, and we are always interested in working with learning providers.

We connect schools to care homes and liaise with teaching staff to create bespoke projects.

Schools that would like to benefit from working with Friend in Deed are requested to organise a fundraising event to help ensure that our work can continue.

Please get in touch if you are in the Norfolk area, and would like to set up a working connection with Friend in Deed

Previous projects with schools include: Penpals, school visits, online quizzes, sports days, music, dance and drama performances, intergenerational choir, history projects, afternoon tea and fun community events.

Photos from a recent visit from Ghost Hill Nursery and Infant School to Badgers Wood in Drayton, Hellesdon Sixth Form and pupils from Town Close School.

Working with Friend in Deed has helped our students to form intergenerational relationships, improve confidence when meeting new people and support the development of communications skills. Being able to celebrate the Coronation with the residents of Chiswick House was one of the highlights of our year.
