Incredible fundraising efforts from Town Close School!

We have been totally bowled over by the incredible fundraising efforts from the staff, pupils and their families who form the Town Close Community.

Last Wednesday marked the end of our year as Town Close charity of the year and what a fabulous academic year it has been! We were lucky enough to be invited to their annual Prize Day, where many pupils gathered to receive prizes for their hard work, innovation and empathy from special guest (and local legend!) Delia Smith.

Friend in Deed received a huge cheque for an equally huge amount of money! A massive £12, 515.53 was raised through various fundraisers this year, and we couldn’t be more overwhelmed by the hard work and dedication to our collaboration this year.

Founder and Managing Director, Kelly Lindsay expressed the charities gratitude to Town Close

“Wow...£12,515.53!

Thank you so much to all of the staff, pupils and families that form the Town Close School community.

What an incredible year we've had and what an amazing amount of money raised. Your fundraising efforts have been phenomenal, but it is not just that that we are grateful for.

The children that visited care homes, took part in the community kindness award, welcomed residents to the school for concerts, sporting events, tours, lunches and more all made an incredible difference to us as a charity this year.

A big thanks as well for removing one of the most difficult barriers that care homes have, transport. As a charity we have been doing more and more over the last few years to try and get our older friends out of their care provision and into the wider community, and when schools provide transport it gives this opportunity to older people and we can't thank you enough for that.

Thank you for choosing us as your charity of the year, we feel truly blessed and we look forward to continuing working with you for many years to provide more support to older people, including those living with dementia in care provisions right across Norfolk.

Thank you Town Close community, you are awesome!”
